CASE STUDY

Bezos Family Foundation

Introduction

The Bezos Foundation’s program, Students Rebuild, is a ready-made adventure in global learning through art that engages the whole student, and helps change the whole world. Designed for busy teachers, Students Rebuild provides free, scalable, holistic lesson plans about global issues that accompany a simple art challenge.

The objective of the animated video was to generate awareness and engagement for the Student Rebuild project. The video targeted parents and school teachers, urging them to get involved in the Youth Uplift Challenge. By showcasing the impact of poverty on education and the potential for change, the video aimed to inspire viewers to take action and support young people in need.

Process

Phase 01

Following our initial kick-off call, where we collected reference styles, I crafted three distinct character designs for the client’s consideration.

Phase 02

The client chose Character Design 3 from Phase 01 but desired a more mature appearance for the character. In response, I developed several additional variations, building upon the foundation of Character Design 3.

Phase 03

Having finalized the character and style, my next step was to establish a harmonious color palette to complement the artwork.

Phase 04

Next step: storyboard production of the finalized script!

Phase 05

Voice-over talented recorded, music and SFX purchased, and animation completed. It’s a wrap!
