As a fully remote company, Zapier’s team is spread across 36 U.S. states and 30 countries worldwide. Every year, the company organizes a retreat, bringing together all teams from around the globe for an entire week at a single location. This year, Zapier’s retreat embraced the theme of “Zap to the Future,” capturing the company’s enthusiasm for fun and innovation.
Not only was the retreat in-person, but it also lived in the metaverse via Party.Space. This hybrid approach allowed team members to physically come together while also embracing the virtual realm, providing an inclusive space for global participation.
“Zap to the Future” was emblazoned across badges, clothing, avatars, videos, and digital skins, immersing participants in a unified experience regardless of their physical or virtual presence.
